Power to Get Wealth

Deuteronomy 8:18 “And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

It must have been between 1am and 3 or 4, when the rains got me up. Somehow, the Spirit led me to pray — and this scripture was on my mind and lips.

Now the Spirit shed so much light on ‘get’.

He told me, ” I didn’t say ‘He who gives you power to MAKE wealth.'”

Get! Not make!

He told me the wealth is already there. We’d say it’s among the unseen things Hebrews talks about. But it is there.

I know it’s hard to swallow, but don’t let Jesus say to you, “O ye of little faith!”

The Bible says the wealth of the wicked is being laid up for the just (which is you)! God’s given you the power to GET it! The same Bible says Jesus became poor that you’d be rich. God’s given you the power to GET it!

The first meanings of ‘get’ are; ‘to obtain’, ‘to acquire’, ‘to receive’, and ‘to have’

The Bible is one of the entities whose use of words we have to be so careful and keen with. The past tense has to be taken as past. Our theme scripture says ‘He gives’ — not ‘He will give’. His giving of this power is present continuous: everyday, everytime, anytime — this power is with you!

One of the meanings of the word ‘power’ is; the ability to influence. God’s given the ability for you to influence the getting of wealth. Wealth knows you, if you believe this. Wealth is broken before you. It is yielded to you. The earth has yielded its increase to you Psalms says. The influence you have on it makes it staying away from you impossible! It just loves you. You’re a faithful steward. You bear wisdom which weighs more than rubies. This wisdom gives you witty inventions — portals through which the wealth will manifest (not be made but be got)!

It’s an access issue, not a work issue. He doesn’t want you to brag about your own abilities, the glory must be His! I’m tempted to say that your talents and skills would get you this wealth, but how about the promise in Deuteronomy 6; which says He’d give you houses you didn’t build, or vineyards you didn’t plant.

It’s clear that God didn’t count on your ability or job or savings to give you all these. The same way we believe Jesus — and Him alone — made it possible for us to be reconciled with God, must be the same way we must believe this promise. We can’t add anything to it! This is beyond wisdom and the witty inventions she gives. For ‘cities you didn’t build’, ‘wells you didn’t dig’, these won’t come from your own inventions — they’ll come from without and not within…

I know of a man to whom another man just woke up and signed his shares (within a rich company) over. This same man talked of receiving a magnitude of pounds translating to close to a billion Uganda shillings. I’m not mentioning this to excite you. I heard it! But can we explain what the man did to get the shares or pounds! This is to disqualify the notion that all the wealth comes from our abilities or skills or jobs. The covenant is some other level of bananas!

‘…that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers.’

One of the covenants He promised Abraham was that through Him all nations would be blessed. This speaks of Christ, but even if we are to look at it in the lens of taking Christ to all nations, such requires funds. Making all nations disciples of Christ as the great commission states, is made easy when one has a lot of influence over wealth.

Abraham was partly promised to be heir of the world. This is not a thing you can inherit by your own works but by faith. Faith that you partake of that inheritance as a child of Abraham. And as God desires to establish His covenant that He promised, even that requires you to get into a particular covenant first. Enter one, to fulfill another — enter a house to access the bedroom. Stay out and you’ll sleep out!

This getting of wealth only implies two things: either there’s so much wealth accumulated in a realm we can’t see that we do not need to ever accumulate more until the earth ends, or, we are returning to Eden’s garden; where Adam never made food but only needed to GET it. The trees were there! He never planted or weeded or pruned or mulched. He only got! This speaks of the dispensation where before God made you, He already established all you’d ever need — from housing to economy just like Adam.

And right now He’s calling you back to that place: to enter that place of rest. To enter that covenant of wealth. So that you might lend to — not just your neighbor, or peers, or a nation — but many nations.

Andrew Wommack preaches that why many believers don’t receive from God is because they have not imagined themselves having the things they are believing for. For speaking we speak, but the gate of the mind’s vision must be reconciled to God’s ordeal of ‘let there be…’ Even the builders of the tower of Babel God said of, ‘nothing will be restrained from them which they’ve imagined to do.’ Even God could not stop them from building a tower that reached Heaven.

This is because we were ALL made in His image. Even the unjust can imagine things into being!

— Just apply your imagination to getting all this wealth. Imagine yourself accessing all the gold there is by faith — and there … there you’ll manifest this solemn promise. Once you see it, you can’t unsee!

Make something that will help you see. So that what you see sticks in your faculty of manifestation — the womb called imagination.

This is what I’ve done in this regard. I pray you do the same;
