No weapon forged against You 2: T.O.T.O.M

“A person can shoot you and instead, it’s them who fall back.” Apostle Grace said so. And, today I bring evidence of that;

In part 1 of this topic, I talked about Esther and how the gallows specially made for her and her people by Haman ended up being used on him and his family. The pattern continues;

1 Samuel 17:50-51 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. But [there was] no sword in the hand of David. Therefore David ran and stood over the Philistine, took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him, and cut off his head with it. And when the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they fled.

David was threatened, by a javelin and a sword. And that very same weapon was used by the protagonist against his antagonist. If you ever get into a fight with an enemy and you’re disarmed, God wants you to know He’ll disarm them and guard you with their very arsenal!

The fire that was set to consume Abednego, Shadrach and Mesach firstly killed those that threw these Hebrew boys in. They had a taste of their own medicine (T.O.T.O.M) and yet the boys came out unscathed!

This — even if hallelujah worthy it is — however serves as a warning for us as well, that we should not be the ones on the other end of the seesaw seeking to have revenge on a person that’s surrounded by God’s favor. Even if we are Christians, it’s possible for us to have a taste of our very own medicine, when things backfire!

If you work toward someone’s firing or soiling their name, you’d be the one getting fired in the end. We must not engage in wickedness as thus. But only let God handle the affairs even when we’ve been cheated. He is just and He’ll ensure you get your justice. You only need to be still.

In the same way, those that try to get you fired, and get themselves promoted like Haman, will in turn find themselves working for you, and worse; them losing their jobs as well. Rather, we must do the right thing. Mordecai reported two eunuchs who sought to lay their hands on King Artaxerses. These things were written, though Mordecai wasn’t awarded there and then.

The king read about it several chapters later, and He promoted him! All to encourage us that God isn’t unrighteous to forget our work of labour and love just like He didn’t forget Joseph in that prison! (Heb 6:10)

The weapons may be forged, but they won’t prosper! The weapons may be of war, of sickness, of fire and death, of you being forgotten, but none shall prosper. Not on God’s watch!

Isaiah 54:17 no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the LORD. (NIV)
